Job Title

Maintenance Tech D | Night Shift

Position Overview

About the Role: The Maintenance Technician (Level D)is an entry-level maintenance professional responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. In this foundational role, you will perform basic maintenance tasks, assist experienced technicians, and help maintain overall plant reliability. This position is designed to build core skills in industrial maintenance while contributing to smooth operations, minimal downtime, and a safe, high-quality production environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Facility Support

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs across the facility, including production areas, offices, and grounds.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment.

Inspections & Monitoring

  • Conduct routine inspections and assist with equipment checks to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Record operational data (e.g., meter readings, equipment conditions) and report concerns.
  • Support compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Basic Equipment Maintenance

  • Assist with simple, repetitive maintenance tasks and common part replacements.
  • Perform basic work requiring measurements, adjustments, and quality checks under supervision.
  • Help maintain equipment in proper working condition to support production needs.

Support Maintenance Activities

  • Assist senior technicians (Levels C, B, and A) with repairs, installations, and maintenance work.
  • Prepare job sites, gather tools and materials, and support cleanup after tasks.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts (as trained) to safely move materials.
  • Perform support tasks including lubrication, painting, and safety watch duties during confined space or hot work activities.

Qualifications & Skills

Safety Awareness

  • Basic understanding of key safety practices, including:
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Confined space entry
    • PPE requirements
    • Hot work procedures
    • Powered industrial trucks (PIT)
    • Fall protection and rigging basics
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to working safely and following procedures.

Mechanical Aptitude

  • Foundational knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic tools and their proper use.
  • Interest in learning power transmission systems and alignment techniques.

Basic Troubleshooting Skills

  • Ability to recognize common equipment issues and assist with simple problem-solving.
