Field Service Technician | Toronto, ON

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be on the front lines of Xylem's mission-helping municipalities and customers keep critical wastewater and pumping systems running safely and reliably. You won't just service equipment. You'll support essential infrastructure that communities depend on.

- Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and service documentation
- Operating and maintaining a service truck, tools, and equipment (including cranes, forklifts, and shop equipment as trained)
- Working directly with customers to communicate findings, next steps, and service outcomes
- Documenting service activities using mobile devices and Microsoft Office tools
- Following established safety practices at all times-for yourself, your team, and the customer
You'll support customers throughout the Toronto / Greater Toronto Area, representing Xylem onsite while helping maintain safe and reliable wastewater infrastructure across the region.
🎯 What We're Looking ForRequired:
- A strong interest in field service, mechanical, electrical, or technical work
- Comfort working handson in industrial or outdoor environments
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally be on call
- Ability to learn and follow safety procedures and technical instructions
- Valid commercial driver's license and ability to operate a service vehicle
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, mobile apps)
Preferred:
- Prior experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or pump systems
- Exposure to wastewater, utilities, industrial equipment, or field service environments
- Ability to read basic schematics or wiring diagrams
- Forklift, crane, or industrial equipment experience (training provided if not)
