Cavalier Logistics is seeking an Entry-Level Import Coordinator to join our import team. The successful Import Coordinator is responsible for processing documentation required by Customs and Border Protection for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers and providing excellent customer service through clear communication from origin to destination. This role is designed for someone at the beginning of their career - no prior professional experience required. If you're curious, motivated, and ready to learn, this position is for you. We'll provide training, mentorship, and hands-on experience to help you build practical skills and confidence. Basic computer skills (e-mail, documents, internet research) and the willingness to learn and try new things required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist our team in tracking international shipments and ensuring smooth cargo clearance.
  • Help manage import documentation and data entry, keeping everything accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with foreign agents, carriers, and government agencies to facilitate timely delivery.
  • Support compliance and record-keeping efforts to meet regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate in a professional office environment, gaining hands-on experience in international trade and customs operations.

Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate and have the ability to efficiently solve problems
