IT Associate Quality Assurance Analyst 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
10 - 28 hours/week OVERVIEW: Working as Part-time IT Associate Quality Assurance Analyst, you will work directly with Fastenal's Business Analysts and Developers to ensure that our programs are meeting business requirements by creating functional, unit, and volume tests. This an entry-level position located at 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Designing and documenting test cases based on business requirements o Performing functional tests to confirm application requirements o Executing load tests to confirm application performance o Rendering interface testing to confirm data integration between systems o Reporting defects to the development teams o Assisting with non-business hour production deployment by validating application stability o Performing deployments of code to our test systems REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Willingness to learn new testing processes and development languages o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess or working towards a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or a related field OR relevant work experience o Knowledge of Oracle SQL and VB Script o Fastenal product and industrial distribution knowledge o Prior experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
