Job description

Square 9 Softworks is a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions. We’re looking for an Implementation Specialist I to join our Professional Services team. This is an entry‐level, early‐career role designed for individuals who are beginning their IT career and want hands‐on experience with software implementation, databases, and workflow automation.

You’ll work closely with a Project Manager and senior team members who will guide your development as you learn our platform, tools, and delivery process. This role is ideal for candidates with 0–3 years of technical experience who enjoy learning new technologies and solving problems.

What You’ll Do

  • Support discovery sessions led by a Project Manager to understand customer requirements
  • Install and configure Square 9 software in a Windows Server / IIS environment
  • Connect and configure solution databases using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Customize solutions using built‐in tools (no coding required)
  • Configure document capture workflows for scanners, MFPs, and email servers
  • Provide project updates using ActiveCollab
  • Assist with documentation of system configurations
  • Shadow senior specialists to build skills across our product suite

Who You Are

  • Early‐career IT professional with 0–3 years of experience in help desk, support, systems, or software implementation
  • Comfortable working in Windows environments and basic networking concepts
  • Familiar with databases (SQL Server preferred)
  • Strong communicator with solid organizational skills
  • Curious, eager to learn, and able to follow structured processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to IIS, Windows Server, or web services
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with ECM/EDM solutions
  • Experience with ActiveCollab or similar tools
