POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry Level Power Platform & Business Applications Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support our digital transformation journey by assisting in the development, rollout, and maintenance of custom applications and automated workflows. Your work will directly help streamline warehouse workflows, reduce manual data entry, and support error-proofing initiatives across our logistics and distribution center operations.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with foundational knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem who is eager to grow their technical skills, collaborate with frontline operations, and build practical business applications in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

 

App Support & Optimization: Assist in building and modifying basic Canvas apps in Power Apps to digitize paper forms, track warehouse tasks, and simplify data entry for floor operations.

Workflow Automation: Create and maintain foundational automated flows using Power Automate to handle system alerts, sync document libraries, and eliminate routine clerical steps.

Reporting Assistance: Help build and update basic data visualizations and operational dashboards in Power BI to track key metrics and performance benchmarks.

SharePoint Maintenance: Set up and manage standard SharePoint lists, libraries, and custom views to serve as the structured backend data sources for team applications.

Process Digitization: Work alongside operational staff to map existing paper-based or manual steps and find opportunities to apply basic Microsoft ecosystem solutions.

Data Manipulation: Utilize Excel (including clean-up formulas and Power Query) to organize, format, and audit operational data inputs.

Troubleshooting & Training: Provide first-line support to warehouse staff using our digital tools, document app usage procedures, and assist in onboarding end-users.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience.

Certification Requirements:

None required. Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals) or continuous improvement training (Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt) are an asset but not mandatory.

Previous Experience:

 

Required: 0-2 years of experience in a technical support, business analysis, data entry, or operational role. Strong foundational familiarity with standard data logic and workflows.

Preferred: Prior exposure to warehousing, logistics, or distribution center environments. Experience building basic forms, automated notifications, or tracking tools is highly valued.

Travel Requirements:

Not frequent, only as required.

Language:

English (Professional working proficiency required for gathering user feedback, technical troubleshooting, and documentation).

Spanish is an asset.

Application/Software:

Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas), Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online, and advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, data formatting).

On Call Requirements:

As necessary to support only critical work stoppage needs.

Physical Requirements:

Office environment, but requires regular movement throughout the distribution center floor to test applications, audit workflows, and provide hands-on training to operators. Must comply with all standard facility PPE/safety protocols.
