Responsibilities:

  • Perform systems engineering functions, including defining and documentingconceptof operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
  • Perform high-level system design, specify system/component performance and interface requirements.
  • Develop installation, integration, andacceptancetest plans.
  • Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they bestfacilitatestrategic and tactical efforts.
  • Coordinate with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements.
  • Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree inengineering and no experience
  • Experience:May substitute a degree ina relevanttechnical field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or physics), entryis with aBachelor’sdegree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience must be in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design & development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance & support, decommissioning)
  • Forallabove degrees, ifprogramis not ABET accredited, it must include specified coursework.
  • Specified coursework includes courses in differential and integral calculus and 5 of the following 18 areas: (a) statics or dynamics, (b) strength of materials/stress-strain relationships, (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics, (d) thermodynamics, (e) electromagnetic fields, (f) nature and properties of materials/relating particle and aggregate structure to properties, (g) solid state electronics, (h) microprocessor applications, (i) computer systems, (j) signal processing, (k) digital design, (l) systems and control theory, (m) circuits or generalized circuits, (n) communication systems, (o) power systems, (p) computer networks, (q) software development, (r) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, or soil mechanics.

The projected compensation range for this position is$70,265 - $168,390(annualized USD). The estimate displayedrepresentsthe typical total compensation range for this position. This position is contingent upon contract award and government funding.
