Calibration assistant is an entry level position, requiring no prior experience. This individual is expected to assist technicians as necessary to perform calibration work within the lab environment.


Responsibilities

  • Cleaning deadweight tester weights
  • Cleaning the incoming equipment to be certified
  • Changing out batteries on incoming equipment
  • Cleaning the front inputs and filters
  • Taking care of the preventive maintenance checks of our standards
  • Ensure the preventive maintenance is completed on our generator and air compressor
  • Assisting opening incoming boxes from UPS and FedEx
  • Assisting in packaging units to be picked up by UPS and FedEx
  • Assist in emergency pickup and delivery of units from local customers
  • Assist with printing calibration certificates, matching calibration documentation to customer units, and performing visual inspection on customer units.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with basic tools
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic organizational and time management skills
  • Self- Starter
  • Needs little to no guidance on daily tasks
  • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history

  • This position does not require any formal education
