Sign On Bonus Eligible: Registered Nurses (over 1 year of experience) $15,000POSITION SUMMARY The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU) is a 47-bed, cardiac intermediate level of care unit with telemetry/progressive care housing approximately 149 employees. The typical patient population includes Cardiac/Telemetry, S/P Cath, pacer, ICD, Stroke, Seizures, GI Bleed, Sepsis and Med/Surg Overflow. Shifts are 12 hours.

POSITION HOURS 36 hours, Nights and every other weekend, 7:00pm - 7:30am KEY RESPONSIBILITIESRespect & Role ModelingUtilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement. Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills. AccountabilityDemonstrates accountability for continued professional growth and development.Demonstrates accountability for own role in smooth operations of unit.Demonstrates the ability to recognize and manage rapidly changing situations.

Collaboration & Continuity in CaringInvolves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings. Innovation & InspirationEmbraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSUREEducation: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Bachelors of Science in Nursing Preferred.Experience: Nurses who are hired as new graduates with a temporary license are placed into this level.Licensure: Graduate Nurse status is designated for those individuals who hold temporary licensure to practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This status is maintained from date of hire until the issuance of a permanent license by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. If the temporary license becomes inactive, due to failure of the NCLEX examination, the employee will no longer be eligible to remain in the Graduate Nurse position.Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BCLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.Professional Certification: Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.Software/ Hardware: Ability to advance basic computer skills as the health system adds new systems or performs upgrades to existing systems.

OTHER REQUIREMENTSSchedule: Work schedule may include 8-12 hours per day with weekend/holiday coverage based on individual unit needs. Personnel are expected to cover for absences by rotating, working extra shifts, or use of on-call as needed. Nursing personnel are assigned to one area upon employment, but may be required to assume assignments in other areas to meet patient needs.Other: AEA
