Job Summary
Entry-level Data Analyst with strong SQL skills to support our insurance data and application systems. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with data, writing queries, and supporting business-critical insurance processes such as policy rating and administration. You will work closely with senior developers, analysts, and business users to ensure accurate, reliable, and compliant data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, tests, and optimizes SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Contributes to data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
- Advises on less complicated data-related issues and production support requests
- Participates in application enhancements that involve database changes
- Documents database logic, queries, and data flows
- Carries out data security, privacy, and insurance compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 Years of experience in a similar field
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL (SELECTs, JOINs, subqueries, aggregates)
- Understanding of basic database concepts (tables, indexes, keys, normalization)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework, projects, or internships involving heavy SQL usage
- Exposure to stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning
