About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer (Entry Level) to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about building software solutions that solve real-world problems. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain our suite of applications across a variety of platforms.


Responsibilities:
  • Own well-defined tasks within your team's product area, working closely with senior engineers on larger projects.
  • Deliver reliably against sprint commitments; flag risks as soon as you see them.
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation while building a working understanding of monitoring and observability.
  • Participate in code reviews, taking direct feedback and acting on it while contributing to team knowledge sharing.
  • Develop working knowledge of the fuel supply and logistics industry as it applies to your team's product area.
  • Follow the team's established design patterns and conventions, and be able to explain design decisions in review.
  • Write clean, tested code, taking ownership of the implementation, automated testing, and validation over the quality of your work.
  • Communicate early and often, focusing on learning and providing feedback to your team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent practical experience.
  • Internship, co-op or professional experience in a software development organization
  • Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies, APIs, databases, and version control systems like Git.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages; preference given to candidates with experience in our stack (Python, .NET (C#), Typescript, React).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Nice to Have (but not required):
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD systems like Github Actions.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
