Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for entering waste data into onsite systems, focus on efficiency, data analysis, trending. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully and safely meet customer data deadlines. This is an entry level position developed to assist in learning our business and grow into new roles with our business line.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
  • Data management:
    • Review third party supplier invoices/data; transfer waste data into associated spreadsheets.
      • Review invoices for accuracy
      • Negotiate with suppliers
      • Identify new potential suppliers, technologies & sustainable opportunities
    • Enter data into internal tracking systems and ensure accuracy.
    • Review data for trending, identify opportunities for improvement
    • Focus on sustainability improvements based on data insights.
  • Have or ability to gain a basic understanding of waste services (hazardous, nonhazardous, recycling, universal, etc), treatment technologies, transportation options, associated equipment and market(s).
  • Operate in a safe manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through on assignments.
  • Other work related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
  • 6 months- 1 year of experience industry related work and customer service preferred but not required.
  • College Degree (recent or in process) in Data Management, Sustainability, Computer Sciences, Environmental preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Data analysis

Physical Requirements:
  • Normal close range vision is required for reading.
  • Manual dexterity is required to handle paper flow and computer keyboard operation.
  • Mobility and hearing is needed to gather information and confer with others.
