Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for readying computer software, applications, images, and systems for use by end user. This position is security sensitive because incumbent will be entrusted with valuable inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Unboxes Chromebooks/laptops.
  • Preps equipment for deployment which can include imaging and boxing equipment for shipment.
  • Configures Chrome Books (connecting to WI-FI, enrolling and registering in google console).
  • Updates the Bios Setting
  • Assists in developing and implementing configuration procedures
  • Prioritizes multiple responsibilities and requests to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Proactively attains and verifies information required to ensure timely and accurate completion of product configuration.
  • Completes account configuration work on time within a designated schedule, escalating any major issues to the Team Lead.
  • Performs assembly of Mobile Carts
  • Performs asset tagging of equipment
  • Scans serial / asset numbers
  • Shrink wraps boxes or pallets as needed
  • Removes trash such as empty boxes and packing material and places in designated area
  • Clean up of work areas
  • Labels equipment by performing laser etching and/or stamping
  • Assists in loading / unloading of equipment delivery trucks as needed
  • Assists in the piece count and order identification of all incoming/outgoing equipment
  • Displays a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude as an essential function of this position.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
Required:
  • Minimum for Entry Level: High school graduate
  • Preferred: Associates degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or related field, -OR- equivalent from two-year college or technical school; -OR- two years related experience and/or training; -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: Two years of progressively responsible experience in configuration, repair, maintenance, and installation of computers and peripheral equipment, of which at least one year is at an intermediate level.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Configuration of computers and peripheral equipment as a minimum for an entry level skill set.
SKILL AT:
Troubleshooting computer equipment requiring some precision. Using hand tools and small power tools to complete services. Working independently and exercising initiative and judgment. Making decisions within scope of assigned authority. Assuming responsibility with minimal supervision. Demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
No licenses, certificates, or registrations are required to perform the essential duties of this job; however, experience with excel is a plus

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position includes physically demanding warehouse work that requires the following:
  • Frequent standing for long periods of time
  • Some bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Repetitive motion; eye-hand coordination; manual dexterity sufficient to assemble units or parts of equipment
  • Vision and hearing correctable to within the normal range
  • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting
  • Ability to write legibly and effectively
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in an area that may not be air-conditioned (generally warehouses)
  • Occasional high stress work due to workload, response times, and/or deadlines.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to maintain self-composure under occasionally heavy workload and sometimes stringent deadlines.
Incumbent must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (1) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (2) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and (3) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor and use it to strengthen future performance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed primarily in a standard warehouse environment and may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from high-speed computer printers and other peripherals. May work primarily in shifts of no more than 5 hours in length. Must have own, reliable transportation. Must maintain reliable attendance at work site during assigned hours. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as project needs dictate.
