Job description

Description
The Enterprise Analytics team develops and executes data analysis and reporting for multiple purposes, including customer behavior, product performance, financial results, marketing strategies, and production-related efficiency. Their objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of functional areas and business operations to leverage data and provide insights into performance and its key drivers.
As a Business Analyst reporting to the Executive Director of Enterprise Analytics, you will help turn data into clear reporting and actionable insight. You will build and enhance dashboards and reports, validate data through code, support business users with self-service reporting, and contribute to analytics projects that improve decision-making and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write and maintain SQL queries in Snowflake to source, prepare, and validate data for reporting; identify data issues and coordinate with technical partners to resolve them.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards and BI reports in Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) using established datasets, definitions, and reporting standards; modify existing content to meet evolving business needs.
  • Build project-level data models (SQL, and some Python) to support analytics and reporting deliverables; test outputs against source systems and expected business logic.
  • Gather and document requirements for reporting and analytics requests in assigned support areas; translate business questions into clear specifications, KPI definitions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support BI users through a mix of scheduled and ad hoc enablement (Jira ticket requests, email/Teams support), including report walkthroughs, targeted training sessions, and guidance on self-service reporting best practices.
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses (trends, variance, and drivers) and create clear visualizations and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and quality by refining code, accelerating analysis, automating repetitive/manual tasks, and strengthening project documentation, while following data governance, privacy, and security standards.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated early-career experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level roles in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or a related area.
  • Working proficiency in SQL and a foundational understanding of database concepts and data preparation/validation practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to support coding refinement, analysis workflows, and documentation in a responsible, secure, and compliant manner.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to explain results, provide status updates, and tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, testing, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with business intelligence applications and Snowflake, plus advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Python for analysis, automation, or project-level modeling.
  • Experience providing BI user support (training, documentation, office hours, ticket-based support, or similar enablement).
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for tracking work and managing deliverables.
  • Exposure to analytics notebooks (e.g., Hex Technologies) for exploratory analysis or lightweight analytics projects.
  • Exposure to basic statistical concepts and forecasting fundamentals.

This position requires candidates to have unrestricted work authorization in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
