About the Opportunity

The Khoury College of Computer Sciences invites applications for the position of Part-time teaching faculty at our Seattle Campus. The Seattle campus launched in 2013 and is conveniently located in South Lake Union (401 Terry Ave N)-an epicenter for innovation and discovery. Home to a wide variety of companies and institutions that share the university's vision, South Lake Union serves as a hub for cutting-edge thought leaders who inspire, create, and execute on new technologies and research daily.

Northeastern offers industry-aligned graduate programs designed to help working professionals achieve their career goals. At present we are enrolling students in MS AI, MS Robotics, MSCS and the Align MS in CS, which provides an onramp to students who did not study CS as undergraduates. The goal of Align is to broaden the diversity of demographics and thought in CS.


Responsibilities:

Develop and teach graduate courses in computer science.


Qualifications:

Master's degree with industry experience required; Ph.D. in computer science or related fields preferred.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated an expert grasp of knowledge of the field and be creative in their approach to teaching in an environment of experiential education. Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate effectively with diverse and exceptional students in person and online. Candidates who work in the Seattle areaand are willing to teach in the eveningare highly desired. There is the opportunity to teach on a regular basis and to move to full time faculty.

Pay Range:

The rate per credit for an instructor with a PhD is $4,924.50. The rate per credit for an instructor with an MS degree is $3,939.50.
