Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)-Title 5, Position Description Number T58212P1 and is part of the WI 115 CF, Wisconsin Air National Guard.
This position is in the Exceptive Service "under the authority for Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)"
Qualifications:GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-2210-11, you must have 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Candidate has superior experience managing a program effectively and efficiently such as Communication Security (COMSEC), TEMPEST and Base Computer Security (COMPUSEC). Must have the ability to run a program that will be audited at the national level. Candidate can summarize, interpret and audit significant data collected. Experience of program management of a higher visibility of a large WING/companywide program. Experience in managing and training the function of the work to be performed. Experience requires adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. A candidate has excellent organizational and communication skills.Education:Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.Employment Type: OTHER
