Job Purpose:
The Vendor Specialty Sales Representative I is responsible for managing the complete sales cycle, with the objective of maximizing revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role requires establishing customer relationships and supplier organizations, while demonstrating fundamental business understanding and financial acumen, and effective communication skills. This position necessitates daily interactions with assigned accounts to proactively drive revenues and margins ensuring organizational profitability. The role requires collaborating effectively as a team player across internal and external organizations, while providing guidance to ensure a positive customer experience. This entry level position is expected to address essential customer issues with guidance, utilizing support from various departments and leadership. Furthermore, the role involves conducting assigned sales and account management activities in alignment with sales goals. These activities include, but are not limited to, lead qualification, quote documentation and follow-up, pipeline management, opportunity progression, and final positioning for deal execution in the appropriate system of record.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendor, and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Forecast and vendor pipeline management including leads, quote follow-up, and opportunity progression.
  • Support the full sales cycle from lead qualification to quote and deal execution.
  • Work closely with peers, internal departments, and vendor representatives to support shared objectives.
  • Develop foundational business and financial acumen through on-the-job training and mentorship.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • >1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience
  • High School Graduate or equivalent experience required
  • Vendor-Specific sales history or certifications. Associate degree in business, marketing, computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and directly related progressive job experience. (1) to (3) years of progressive experience that includes selling, marketing and promoting solutions to customers
  • Possess substantial experience in sales or sales management, particularly in quoting complex OEM equipment. Proficient in utilizing standard business tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrate 1-3 years of progressive experience encompassing sales, marketing, and promotion of solutions to customers within technical or product support roles, in environments related to IT, products, system solutions distribution, or similar fields.
  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
  • Possesses basic data entry skills.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
  • Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to effectively multi-task.
  • Able to collaborate and build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Able to use relevant computer systems and applications at a basic level.
  • Able to quickly learn/adapt to new systems and technology.
  • Able to talk on the phone (or wear a headset) for long periods of time.
