Entry-Level Indoor Environmental Technician
Most entry-level jobs give you a paycheck. This role is designed to give the right person a career path.
Green Home Solutions is hiring an Entry-Level Indoor Environmental Technician for someone who is dependable, coachable, hands-on, and motivated to improve. You do not need previous mold remediation or indoor air quality experience. We will train the right person.
But this role is not for everyone.
We are looking for someone who wants to be held to a high standard, learn from coaching, work safely, serve customers professionally, and improve every week. The right person has healthy internal competitiveness - the drive to get better, help teammates improve, and raise the standard for the whole team.
If you want to coast, this is not the place. If you want to learn a specialized trade, be measured by performance, and grow into more responsibility, this could be a strong fit.
Green Home Solutions provides indoor air quality services, mold remediation, moisture control, odor treatment, and related environmental solutions for homeowners and property owners. Our values are mutual respect, integrity, transparency, teamwork, continuous improvement, and healthy competitiveness.
What you will do:
  • Assist with mold remediation, cleaning, containment, and treatment projects
  • Set up and break down containment, equipment, and jobsite protection
  • Wear PPE and follow safety procedures
  • Help keep customers' homes clean, protected, and organized
  • Load, unload, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials
  • Follow written procedures, checklists, and company standards
  • Take photos and document completed work
  • Communicate respectfully with teammates, supervisors, and customers
  • Ask questions, receive coaching, and improve your skills
  • Participate in training, development, and certification opportunities

You may be a strong fit if you:
  • Want a career path, not just a paycheck
  • Enjoy hands-on work
  • Are reliable and show up on time
  • Are coachable and willing to learn
  • Take pride in doing work the right way
  • Have healthy internal competitiveness and want to keep improving
  • Want to help your teammates get better, not just yourself
  • Can follow a process
  • Communicate professionally
  • Work well with a team
  • Want to grow into more responsibility

Relevant backgrounds may include HVAC, construction, environmental technology, building science, facilities maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical systems, pest control, restoration, waterproofing, crawlspace work, landscaping, warehouse work, military service, public service, athletics, or other team-based work.
This role is probably not a good fit if you do not like physical work, do not want to wear PPE, are uncomfortable working in basements, attics, crawlspaces, or tight spaces, struggle to show up on time, resist coaching, cut corners, avoid accountability, or think competition means tearing others down instead of raising the team's standard.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in basements, attics, crawlspaces, and other jobsite conditions
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically active work
  • Willingness to wear PPE and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate professionally with teammates and customers
  • Willingness to complete training and follow company standards
  • Ability to pass company hiring requirements, including background and driving record checks

Potential career path:
Entry-Level Indoor Environmental Technician → Indoor Air Quality Technician → Senior Indoor Air Quality Technician → Quality Control & Training → Indoor Air Quality Assessor → Indoor Air Quality Professional → Field Operations or Production Leadership
Advancement is based on reliability, skill development, training progress, certifications, scorecard performance, teamwork, professionalism, healthy competitiveness, and leadership potential.
If you are dependable, coachable, hands-on, competitive in the right way, and ready to build a career in indoor environmental services, apply today to start your path with Green Home Solutions.
Compensation: $38,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
