Brampton North Nissan is looking for an experienced Level 3 Automotive Service Apprentice to join their dynamic team!

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to Nissan specifications.
  • Assist Service Technicians with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing engine systems, including cooling systems, cylinder heads, and engine block assemblies.
  • Support the inspection and servicing of electrical and engine management systems, such as boosting and charging batteries, and repairing starting and charging components.
  • Provide assistance with diagnosing and repairing fuel delivery, clutch, and transmission systems (manual, automatic, and transaxles), including computer-controlled components.
  • Support the inspection and repair of driveline and chassis components, including drive shafts, differentials, axles, suspension, steering, braking systems, tires, wheels, rims, and hubs.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, body and trim components, exhaust and intake systems, and emission control systems.
  • Examine  customer vehicles and recommend needed service.
  • Ensure the shop is clean and tidy and assist full time technicians whenever required.
  • Assist assigned technicians as needed.
  • Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.

What you need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in automotive.
  • Capable of working in a collaborative environment while providing a positive attitude.
  • Desire to continue schooling and training.
  • Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest.
  • Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
  • Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to utilize power tools while maintaining safety practices and procedures.  
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected flat hourly rate): $22.00 - $25.00 per hour under our skilled trades flat-rate (piece work) compensation plan.

Expected annual earnings: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, based on historical earnings at this location and typical productivity; actual earnings vary based on individual output and service department repair order volumes.
