Full Stack Software Developer

We are headquartered in Taneytown, MD (USA) but support our worldwide customers with manufacturing facilities and sales offices strategically located around the world. Founded in 1976, EVAPCO has become an industry leader in the engineering and manufacturing of quality heat transfer products around the world.
Evapco, Inc., is currently seeking entry level Software Developers to help maintain and develop custom Product Development and Production Control software applications that help with the Digital Transformation of our Global Operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Product Development Engineers to update product Bills of Material (BOMs), support BOM-driven product configuration logic.
  • Develop server-side code for web-based applications and client-side code for desktop and internal business applications.
  • Create robust production applications and quickly develop prototypes to support engineering, product development, and manufacturing needs.
  • Develop user interfaces using JavaScript, AJAX, and similar web technologies.
  • Use Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, and related development platforms to build, test, deploy, and support applications.
  • Refactor existing applications and database structures to improve maintainability, performance, and reliability.
  • Automate 2D and 3D CAD packages using available APIs.
  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, integrate, and test new features.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute ideas to project planning, application design, and process improvement.
Position Requirements:
  • Experience with C# and Visual Studio is preferred; familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, R, Java, C++, PowerShell, or VB.NET is a plus. Experience with ASP.NET/MVC, WPF, Web API, REST services, LINQ, or WCF is also beneficial.
  • Exposure to modern .NET development patterns and frameworks is preferred, including dependency injection with Unity or similar containers, MVVM/Prism for WPF applications, and SignalR for real-time application features.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, is preferred for developing, maintaining, and refactoring application data structures.
  • Experience with data analysis, data visualization, statistical programming, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development tools, local AI model deployment, or working with large manufacturing and engineering datasets is a plus.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages and technologies as needed.
  • Ability to design, maintain, test, and review efficient object-oriented code.
  • Previous experience with CAD software or CAD API automation is a plus, including AutoCAD, Revit, Solid Edge, or SolidWorks.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
