Short Description:

Must be willing to work 3rd shift - 12:00 midnight to 8:30 am

Description:

This position will be assisting with the OCIO Operators with the IA Department of Revenue systems.

12:00 midnight to 8:30 am

Some duties will include the following in addition to the requirements listed in the skill area:

Monitor mainframe jobs

- Alert appropriate customers/programmers of potential problems.

- Report all job failures and other problems to Program Manager and assist with resolution.

- Report and coordinate resolution of all problems in the absence of Program Manager.

- Assist and provide support to Program Manager

- Knowledgeable in JCL

Reporting

- Distribute customer daily reports

- Maintain unique scheduling calendar

- Update all documentation (SOPs, logs etc)

- Provide statistics gathered from various sources

Printing output

- Print nightly output

- Print state warrants

- Deliver output

After hours help desk

- Answer phones

- Resolve issues

- Escalate to duty officer problems that cannot be resolved

Skill Required
-Coordinate Mainframe Batch Job Schedules
-Change JCL (Job Control Language) as appropriate. The parameters that need changing include, but is not limited to: dates, tax types, & various data
-Schedule & submit daily, weekly, monthly & annual batch systems & monitor jobs for multiple systems for completion & monitor expected results.
-Verify job(s) set up and Networking accuracy (Control-M). Troubleshoots Control-M issues.
-Reconcile multiple transactions received from an internal/external source(s) prior to loading them into the respective systems each night.
-The ability in Operating Department computer system(s) and equipment; troubleshoots in an entry level capacity with minimal supervision.
-Alert Program Manager of any problem(s) preventing the successful completion of a process or internal/external customer service issue.
-Use JCL (Job Control Language), Utilities and JES III to operate computer system(s)
-Experience in making changes to JCL as needed/instructed by Program Manager.
