Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare plumbing products and conduct testing in accordance with applicable product standards, including Mexican standards.
  • Document and maintain accurate test data in both English and Spanish, as required.
  • Record, analyze, and compile testing data in standardized formats; communicate results to product and engineering teams.
  • Ensure all documentation meets Spanish-language requirements for Mexican standards and accreditation bodies.
  • Assist technical teams in troubleshooting testing issues, equipment malfunctions, and process challenges that may impact test validity.
  • Prepare draft test reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including Spanish-language documentation.
  • Perform engineering calculations such as flow rate, load testing, and opening area measurements.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence, including coordination with Spanish-speaking agencies and vendors.
  • Support training and development of lab technicians and entry-level staff, including guidance on Spanish-language documentation requirements.
  • Build and set up testing equipment for a variety of plumbing products.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laboratory environment.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and industry standards preferred.
  • Technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) required, due to Spanish-language testing documentation and communication with Spanish-speaking auditors and agencies.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific testing methods and equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work hands-on in a lab environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to accurately document, analyze, and report data.

The salary range for this position will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
