Parsons is now hiring early stage Electrical Engineers with a desire to work on projects that change the fabric of our community. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. In this role you will design, develop, and test hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, circuitry, processes, etc. The successful candidate will prepare technical and progress reports on assigned projects as well as specifications. The Electrical Engineer evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Willingness to travel is expected.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineers in the preparation of drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical designs for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Use Revit® and AutoCAD to prepare difficult and complex electrical layouts and design drawings using theoretical and practical design knowledge.
  • Interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and implement advanced software to complete assignments.
  • Meet layout requirements and develop alternate design layouts of systems as required.
  • Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Review supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
  • Perform checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
  • Revit® electrical design experience is a plus.
  • AutoCAD electrical design experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) and 0 years experience required.
  • Willing and able to pursue an EIT.
  • Strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments.
