Entry-Level HVAC Estimator – Engineering Graduate
Location: Portland, Hampden, or Lewiston, ME
Position Type: Full-Time
Candidates may be based at any one of our three Maine locations: Portland, Hampden, or Lewiston.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated recent engineering graduate to join our growing commercial HVAC team as an Entry-Level HVAC Estimator.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering degree who is interested in beginning a career in the commercial HVAC industry. You will receive hands-on training in HVAC estimating, equipment selection, blueprint reading, quoting, project coordination, and customer support.
No previous HVAC experience is required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing estimates and quotations for commercial HVAC projects.
- Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to identify project requirements.
- Learn to select and cross-reference commercial HVAC equipment and materials.
- Assist with equipment pricing and preparation of competitive customer proposals.
- Work closely with experienced HVAC professionals and the sales team to support customer projects.
- Communicate with manufacturers and vendors regarding equipment specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Assist with processing customer orders and purchase orders.
- Coordinate equipment and material deliveries as needed.
- Maintain accurate estimating, pricing, and project documentation.
- Respond to customer questions and provide professional project support.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, systems, and applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Recent engineering graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
