Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer I at AAON is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the design, testing, and documentation of electrical systems used in HVAC equipment. This role works under close supervision and assists senior engineers in developing and improving electrical components and systems. The position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to grow in a hands-on engineering environment.
Electrical Engineer I contributes to product development and testing by performing basic engineering tasks and learning AAON's systems and processes.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Document test results and maintain engineering records.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians on design projects.
  • Learn and apply relevant codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC).
  • Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
  • Create and revise schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
