Job description

Position Summary
Dynaten Corp is seeking an Entry-Level Prefab Detailer to support our prefabrication and field operations by producing accurate, constructible drawings and models for mechanical systems. This role is ideal for candidates beginning their career in mechanical construction, BIM/VDC, or prefabrication and provides hands-on experience working with engineering, fabrication, and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of prefabrication drawings and models for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing, and supports)
  • Produce basic shop drawings, spool drawings, and material lists under supervision
  • Review contract drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, VDC staff, and prefab shop personnel
  • Incorporate redlines, markups, and revisions into drawings as directed
  • Help identify and resolve basic coordination or constructability issues
  • Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
  • Support prefab shop and field teams by responding to drawing-related questions

Required Qualifications
  • 3 yrs+ of Plumbing Or pipefitting field Experience
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings with guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
