From troubleshooting to preserving our rich history and being stewards of our iconic lodges, hands-on skills are needed to get the job done right. There are a variety of positions at our parks and lodges that range from skilled technicians to skilled trades.

Job Summary:

The General Maintenance Technician performs skilled troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and operational assets to support safe and efficient yearround operations. This position plays a key role in preventive maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and ongoing facility improvements. The Technician ensures all tasks meet OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards while supporting departmental sustainability goals.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Complete, document, and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities using CMMS and work order systems.
  • Safely and correctly use tools, equipment, and materials appropriate to assigned tasks.
  • Serve as a positive role model by promoting safe work practices, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Mentor and support the development of entrylevel and seasonal maintenance staff through onthejob training and coaching.
  • Assist with seasonal opening and closing activities while supporting yearround operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work and resolve issues.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision; flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts as required.

  • Ability to learn new skills, systems, and procedures and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including CMMS or work order systems.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety standards.
  • Willingness to work yearround, including holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.

General Maintenance I

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple building systems.
  • Proven ability to independently perform maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and professional curiosity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and support the professional growth of junior staff and seasonal employees.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevations over 6,000 ft.
  • Walk up to 0.5 miles over uneven terrain; climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform heavy labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
