Job Summary:

Captivation Software is looking for an entry level software engineer who shall be part of a team responsible for configuring, testing, characterizing, and optimizing various system networking components for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.
Responsibilities:
• configuring, testing, characterizing, and optimizing various system networking components for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Four (4) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Understanding of basic parallel programming concepts
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Experience with Git Source Control System
Preferred:
• Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
• Familiar with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
