Job description

System Engineer

  1. You will be responsible for design, integration and documentation of Plant Process Computer Systems used in nuclear power plants.
  2. You will help design custom adapters/cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new computer equipment.
  3. You will also assist with cabinet layout and design incorporated with needed power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment and servers which are the primary design components.
  4. You will include preparation of documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery.
  5. We ask that you can design to requirements, build and test

Your Day to Day

  • Perform review of hardware design, review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design.
  • Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs
  • Learn and understanding of component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables
  • Participate in the set-up, system modification and system integration and testing, and delivery of our Projects
  • Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems
  • Willing to travel and work with local customers

You will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with applicable years' experience drawing review, design and systems.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of applicable experience required.
  • Data acquisition hardware and software
    • Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces
    • Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of Servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards.
    • Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling
  • Drawing review
  • Experience with Cisco switches
  • Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other
  • Experience with Servers and workstations

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 annually.
