Class and Grade
This position is available exclusively to currently enrolled SJR State students and pays $15 per hour.
Position Summary
This position requires a FAFSA on file and is available only to current SJR State students who are eligible for student employment and Federal Work-Study during the Fall 2026 semester. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This position requires a commitment of 10 hours per week. Applicants must successfully pass employment verification, reference screening, and a background check. This position is not eligible for Veteran's Preference.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with setting up classroom lab equipment, including servers, switches, and routers.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing networking lab equipment.
• Collaborate with instructors and team members on special projects and departmental initiatives.
• Follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Provide general support to the Computer Information Systems Department as needed.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled SJR State student during the Fall 2026 semester.
• FAFSA on file and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of at least one networking course through the College's Cisco Academy.
• Strong willingness to learn and follow directions accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
