Medical Laboratory Technologist - MLT / MT / MLS
Upwards of $20,000 in Sign-On Bonus / Full Time
Schedule:
  • Location 1: Day or Night Shifts Available (5x8s, 4x10s, 3x12s)
  • Location 2: 3-11p (5x8s)
MLR is seeking a well-skilled, highly productive team player to work as a Medical Lab Technologist / Technician in one of our two hospital laboratory departments for our client in New Jersey. Med Tech Responsibilities:
  • Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests
  • Determine specimen validity in a timely manner
  • Inform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
  • Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
  • Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
  • Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable
Med Tech Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology required** or related field OR
  • For HEW/HHS - High school graduate or equivalent with 50-week military training as Medical Lab Specialist OR Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program.
  • 1 to 3 years clinical/ hospital laboratory experience preferred
  • ASCP Certified required**
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control methods
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer technology
