Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (http://www.cse.uta.edu) in the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for an open-rank Academic Professional Track (non-tenure) faculty position in Computer Science. This open-rank position may be appointed at the rank of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, or Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Instruction, to teach courses within the undergraduate and graduate Computer Science curriculum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
For this one opening, preference will be given to qualified applicants who can teach at the university level in one or more of the following areas: Programming, Algorithms and computational complexity, Programming languages and compilers, Computer graphics, and Parallel and GPU computing. A typical teaching position comes with a 12-credit teaching load per semester.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and update course materials, mentor and advise students, and participate in curriculum development and departmental service.
Required Qualifications
Candidates for assistant/associate/full professor of instruction must have earned (by the start date) a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related area. Candidates for lecturer/senior lecturer positions must have earned (by the start date) a M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related area.
Applicants with significant industry experience are encouraged to apply. Relevant industry experience is valued, particularly when it enhances teaching through real-world applications, project-based learning, or alignment with current industry practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching and/or training experience is preferred. Industry work experience is considered an advantage. Competitive applications will include evidence of creative and effective pedagogy, such as course materials and assignments; peer, student, or statistical evaluations; or descriptions of novel approaches, tools, or systems that the applicant has developed to support their classes.
