We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineer II to join our team at K&A Power Group in Oakbrook, IL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:
  • Determine customer needs/facility requirements for electrical engineering projects. Prepare feasibility studies, to include conceptual design and preliminary cost estimate. Develop final design, cost estimate and schedule for electrical engineering projects. Prepare equipment and materials specifications. Prepare Auto CAD drawings to be used to bid/award construction for electrical engineering projects. Perform field surveys and stakeouts. Acquire necessary permits and State/County/Municipality approvals. Coordinate the design and work process between the customer, contractors, trades, other utilities, municipality, and others involved in the process. Input data into the SAP WMS and Smart Map systems, GIS, others and reconcile project completion.

What we're looking for:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering field, and two (2) years of electrical engineering experience, including experience in reviewing/performing quality assurance of design deliverables, experience executing designs for both overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, and experience working with Geographic Information Systems ("GIS").
