JOB TITLE: MP&P Engineer 2 - NDE/Measurement Systems 
LOCATION: Tukwila, WA
PAY RATE: $59/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop NDE procedures in support of airline maintenance inspections

  • Design NDE reference standards for inspection procedures

  • Develop engineering specifications and supporting documentation to meet customer requirements

  • Assist in evaluating emerging technologies for potential business applications

  • Support development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes

  • Perform routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements

  • Assist with implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Utilize project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule objectives

  • Incorporate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), LEAN, and Quality principles into:

    • Materials and processes

    • Research, design, and qualification

    • Work procedures

    • Laboratory and office environments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with experience

  • 1+ years of engineering experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA or SolidWorks

  • Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current

  • Experience in aviation and/or aerospace environments

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills

  • Proficiency with computing systems and software

  • Strong time management skills for managing multiple projects across locations

  • Knowledge of materials science, including metals and/or composites
