Job description

Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to jon our growing MEPS team in Peoria, IL  The Electrical Engineer is responsible for electrical engineering design, building information modeling (BIM) using Revit MEP software, CAD drafting using AutoCAD software, drawing production, specification writing, discipline coordination between the various trades, shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems for various projects.Successful candidates may be requested to participate in opportunities in other Dewberry offices. Duties may also include the review of MEP systems designed by others, interface with code officials and contractors, working with architects and other clients, and working with others within the Dewberry organization. This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility for the design and production of construction documents for building systems. The engineer will also assist with the design and specification of power distribution systems, emergency generation systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems.

  • BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an ABET accredited university is required.
  • 0-2 years technical experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems.
  • PE preferred.
  • Must have experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents for buildings in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized, takes good notes

The projected range for this position is $75,804 - $78,304 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
