Civil 3D - CAD Technician
Location: Houston, TX OR Odenton, MD
Permanent/Direct Hire


Our client, a leading engineering and construction solutions provider, is seeking a CAD Technician to join their collaborative team. This position is available in Houston, TX or Odenton, MD. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and designers to develop high-quality structural and geotechnical drawings for real-world projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, update, and maintain detailed engineering drawings using CAD software
  • Interpret design concepts, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate construction documents
  • Revise drawings based on redline markups and complete as-built documentation
  • Develop drawings from initial concepts through to finalized, detailed plans
  • Assist in improving design efficiency by suggesting modifications or simplifications
  • Produce complex technical drawings to meet project requirements and standards
  • Coordinate with engineers and fellow CAD team members to ensure project consistency
  • Organize and manage CAD files for project layout and documentation


Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in CAD drafting or design (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Civil 3D experience preferred
