General Job Summary
Support Construction activities by monitoring, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, reviewing specifications and drawings to ensure construction progress is as scheduled with adherence to the contract. Provide engineering support to ensure the development of effective designs, drawings and documentation to achieve client/owner requirements as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and project execution team.
Responsibilities
  • Thorough competency with construction drawings/specifications/engineering documents and familiarity with the construction process
  • Work closely with site management, design/project engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Update/track project status and generate status reports.
  • Work with project schedule to create project schedule(s) and associated commodity curves.
  • Assist in preparing change orders for project scope changes.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and material submittals.
  • Purchase materials and coordinate deliveries
  • Work with field supervision regarding document control, scheduling, and materials
  • Work with project document control
  • Oversee red line drawings that are completed for all field variances.
  • Work with APM/PM to ensure compliance with contract documents
  • Interact, develop and maintain a positive working relationship with personnel at all levels
  • RFQ requisitions and RFI
  • Provide QAQC Support
  • Coordinate turnover packages.

Requirements
  • Entry Level - Bachelors Mechanical Engineer, Civil/ Industrial Engineering etc.
  • Experience with the application of pertinent industry codes is required.
  • Strong skills in developing and executing projects concepts, including objectives, scope, schedule and deliverables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to give and take direction; and a team player.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Access and Adobe Acrobat.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
