Position Summary

The BAS Technician I is an entry-level position designed for individuals beginning a career in the HVAC and Building Automation Systems industry. This role provides hands-on exposure to the construction and service side of digital control systems, with a clear path for professional growth and advancement.

You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and managers while developing the technical and professional skills required for long-term success in the BAS field.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma required

• One of the following:

• Minimum 1 year of vocational or technical training

• Enrollment in or completion of a 4-year university program

• Minimum 4 years of workforce experience

• Basic computer proficiency

• Mechanical or electrical aptitude or exposure preferred

Nature of Work

The BAS Technician I reports to a Service Manager, Senior Technician, Project Manager, or other designated supervisor.

This position receives daily assignments and project-based tasks, performed within established guidelines and departmental procedures. Work involves collaboration with team members as well as interaction with building occupants and administrators, requiring basic customer service skills.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, and operate computers for extended periods.
