Job description

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking to hire a Project Manager to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring project objectives are achieved on schedule and within budget by effectively planning, directing, and coordinating project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans and specifications to identify required materials, ensure procurement aligns with customer budgets, and coordinate with outside vendors for scheduling and installation.
  • Direct and oversee all assigned project activities to ensure timelines, scopes, and budgets are maintained.
  • Communicate project status with teams and clients by reviewing reports and providing timely updates.
  • Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers; effectively convey technical feedback from carpenters to customers.
  • Utilize sound judgment and forecasting to manage project coordination and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow established administrative procedures to manage projects on time and under budget.
  • Monitor and review projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Track job materials and monitor submittals to ensure timely delivery.
  • Foster customer relationships by addressing concerns and identifying potential sales opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and implement solutions for challenges affecting project execution.
  • Maintain organized project files and gather required documentation to support accurate billing and timely close-out.
  • Promote a positive, professional attitude toward clients and team members in all situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred, or experience as a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Engineer in construction, service, or subcontracting.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand technical components of construction projects.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to verify bids for accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
