Position Overview

At Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, you'll help design, plan, and support the telecommunications and control systems that keep the transmission network operating safely and reliably. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on engineering studies, communications infrastructure, and projects from concept through construction.

What You'll DoDesign Innovative Communication & Control Systems
  • Assist in the design and planning of telecommunications and control facilities supporting the transmission system.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Design and support digital microwave radio, fiber optic communications, IP networking, SCADA/RTUs, IEDs, VOIP, mobile radio, multiplexing, security, video, and related communication systems.
  • Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, codes, and safety requirements.Engineering Analysis & Project Support
  • Perform engineering studies, technical analyses, and system evaluations.
  • Assist with project planning, cost estimating, contract specification reviews, and engineering reports.
