Provider Contract Food Service is a locally grown company specializing in providing culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients for the past 18 years.

Our team is growing and we are looking to add to our Food Service Team in the position of Cashier. This is an entry level position located at Nelson University.

No experience required!

Summary:

Responsible for receiving money in the form of cash, check, or credit card from customer or employees in exchange for food or services. Scans items, provides change, balances drawer, and processes card transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Computes or recomputes bill, itemized lists, and ticket voucher showing amount due.

Makes change and issues receipts or tickets to customers.

Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.

Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.

Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.

Respond to customers complaints and take necessary action to resolve their issues.

Operates cash register by passing price coded items across electronic scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
