Job description

Share your passion by helping patients at the St. Cloud Hospital as a Program Facilitator!  You'll be responsible for increasing patient awareness and abilities in the area of living skills and recreation activities by providing education and information on an individual or group basis.  As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of therapeutic programming (education and/or activities) to patients ranging in age from 5 years through adult with mental health and/or chemical dependency issues. 
 

Schedule

  • Part-time | 32 hours every two weeks
  • Day shift | Tuesdays and Thursdays | every 6th Saturday and Sunday
  • Will include hours of 8am-4:30pm (weekdays) and 7am-3:30pm (weekends)
  • St. Cloud Hospital | Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit | on-site
     

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay begins at $21.54 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
    • Pay range:  $21.54 - $32.31 per hour
    • Earn extra pay for working weekend shifts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a human services field or
  • Minimum of two years of related experience assisting in running groups, program and material design required or
  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant curriculum and successful completion of clinical field work.
    •  If a graduate from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program; then National Certification through NBCOT as a COTA and through the State of MN as a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is required.
  • Workplace Violence Prevention curriculum courses will be provided upon hire and ongoing.
  • Entry level skills and knowledge in the provision of therapeutic education and activities.
  • Knowledge of medical and psychiatric diagnosis and the associated symptoms.
  • Ability to teach a variety of education and creative activities.
