Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level III or Level IV setting
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Experience caring for neonates as young as 23-24 weeks gestation
  • Proficiency with advanced NICU equipment and therapies, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, oscillators, PICC/central lines, syringe pumps, and thermoregulation devices
  • Experience with blood and blood product administration
  • Comfort supporting neonatal surgical patients and high-risk deliveries
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Must be flexible and open to floating between campuses or related pediatric areas when needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill newborns and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
  • Monitor and manage complex neonatal conditions using advanced clinical judgment
  • Support respiratory therapies and ventilator management, including CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and oscillators
  • Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and nutritional support safely and accurately
  • Care for patients with central lines, feeding tubes, and other specialized NICU interventions
  • Assist with neonatal surgeries and high-risk deliveries as part of the care team
  • Maintain detailed documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support family-centered care
  • Adapt to unit needs, including occasional float assignments and sitter coverage when appropriate
