Inside Edition is television's longest-running, top-rated, and most-honored syndicated newsmagazine. It is a daily, half-hour, nationally syndicated show that focuses on national issues, medical, health, human interest, animal stories, and backstage reports from the entertainment industry. The program also offers exclusive newsmaker interviews and investigative reports.
 
Overview:
Inside Edition is looking for a story coordinator for its award-winning TV news program. The position is an exemplary opportunity for someone who is committed to consumer, investigative, entertainment, and features reporting and is looking for an entry-level job with strong growth potential. This position is full-time, non-staff, with a staffing opportunity. Story Coordinators work closely with producers to find and coordinate all aspects of TV news segments. Candidates must have exemplary research, phone, and people skills. Duties involve securing interviews and gathering information, doing background research utilizing public records, and conducting pre-interviews.
 
This is a full-time position. The salary range is $45,000-$55,000 annually, with overtime eligibility.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Some prior reporting experience in television or print.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A passion for local and national news.
  • Proficient in technology and social media.
  • Able to travel and work nights/weekends as necessary.
 
Additional Qualifications:
  • B.S or B.A. Degree or equivalent.
  • Booking experience in television or media.
  • A working knowledge of government, courts, law enforcement, and FOIA.
