Job Description

The Associate Territory Manager will be responsible for promoting Peripheral Interventions (PI) products within his/her assigned territory. The role will require engagement of physicians, clinical staff, administration and hospital procurement in order to promote product utilization. The candidate must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.

Location: Washington DC/Baltimore primarily (could also support surrounding areas including, but not limited to: Northern Virginia, West Virginia, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary contact and liaison between BD and the customer (e.g., Hospital Staff, Clinicians, Procurement).

  • Determines current usage of PI products within each account and develops strategies to increase market share for all PI products.

  • Develops strong relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.

  • Conducts product presentations to various audiences including physician groups, nursing staff, residents, pharmacists and administrators.

  • Assists in the identification and resolution of any technical or service issues related to the use of BD products.

  • Maintains detailed records of customer accounts, including the development and implementation of programs to enhance market share for PI products.

  • Attends conferences and trade shows as determined by the Regional Sales Manager.

  • Assists in training new employees and students.

  • Facilitates communication between BD and customers regarding new products, new technology, and changes in government regulations.

  • Works closely with sales representatives to support PI product trials and new product introductions.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • One year of relevant experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in peripheral intervention and vascular access desirable.

  • Knowledgeable in clinical segment such as critical care, emergency medicine, endoscopy, radiology, cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology and perioperative environments.

  • Demonstrated successful sales track record.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates' progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles. $68,000 - $120,000 (range includes base salary and other sales incentives)
