Job Description:
Credit is a strategic function whose primary role is to manage the credit risk associated with commercial activities.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform financial analysis to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties and make recommendations for appropriate credit limits and tenor.
  • Review credit requests for extended or new terms and propose appropriate course of actions.
  • Monitor, investigate and report limit breaches.
  • Support margining activities, collateral requirements, and other credit enhancements.
  • Monitor daily excess positions and late settlement payment.
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly credit reporting.
  • Accurately maintain the credit system (CubeLogic) and participate in upgrade and/or enhancements activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the Risk team, the commercial desks, other functions and customers.
  • Proactively participate in a wide variety of ad-hoc queries timely and escalate as appropriate.
  • Actively participate and support projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business
  • Typically has at least 2 years of experience in credit or related field
  • General understanding of credit principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional experience on contractual and credit documents (e.g. NAESB, ISDA, EEI, Parental Guarantees and Letters of Credit) preferred
  • Professional experience on energy products traded by EDFT an advantage (primarily power, gas, environment products) preferred
  • Previous experience with S&P Capital IQ platform or CubeLogic credit system will be an advantage
