CAD Drafter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our growing millwork shop in Tempe, AZ . The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating detailed drawings and plans for various projects using advanced CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of millwork design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with project and shop managers.

Duties

  • Develop and prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Microvellum and BiesseWorks.
  • Create schematics and layouts for various millwork projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with field measurers, project manager and shop manager to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare shop drawings for fabrication and installation for cabinetry and countertops.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members and clients.
  • Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology.

Qualifications

  • 6 months CAD software experience such as AutoCAD, Microvellum and BiesseWorks preferred
  • Experience in drafting for architectural millwork is preferred.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • A background in millwork/cabinetry is a plus but not required.
