AmpThink is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Structured Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems within various high-profile venues across North America. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation and termination of structured cabling including Cat 5/6, Fiber Optic cables, and associated hardware.
  • Help perform site surveys and assess locations for cable runs and equipment installation.
  • Adhere to quality standards and best practices for structured cabling installations.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues at various venues.
  • Maintain documentation of installations and work performed.
  • Support all safety and environmental guidelines in the workplace.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in telecommunications or related field is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of structured cabling systems and components.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to rapidly changing technologies.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed.
