From auto shows to national political party conventions to world economic summits, Smart City has been on the floor, behind the scenes, and maintaining the connections that enable people to make important things happen.

Today, we proudly employ more than 250 team members nationwide. Our Las Vegas headquarters is home to our national customer service, accounting, and technology teams, along with our Network Operations Center (NOC), which provides Internet security services and remote 24/7 monitoring for all of our networks.

The Smart City Technician is a fun, fast-paced, entry level role for an individual that is a customer service all-star who would like to enter the IT and telecom networking field. 

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interacting with show and event customers to help connect their networks
  • Taking show schematics/ maps and plans and transforming them into real-life, well connected networks
  • Monitoring the inventory and restocking their cart to ensure they have all the tools needed for the customer’s set-up as planned
  • Troubleshooting on the spot issues and pro-actively assisting customers with set-up, maintenance and take- down of installations by color coding and proper testing of copper and fiberoptic cables, installing jumpers and patch cables and providing other technical assistance as trained
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Compensation: $22.00
