GURSTEL LAW FIRM, P.C. – Quality Assurance Analyst


JOB SUMMARY

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for validating software against quality standards, this role involves end-to-end testing, issue analysis, and documentation. You will gain expertise in database querying, document merge programming, and reporting, interacting with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Thoroughly reviewing the assigned ticket requirements to understand the functionality, performance and other quality characteristics expected from the software.
  • Developing test plans that outline the overall testing strategy, scope, resources, schedule and test environment requirements.
  • Designing, developing, and documenting detailed test cases based on the test plan, ensuring that the test cases cover all reasonable/applicable scenarios.
  • Performing testing according to test cases and recording all results, including defects or issues found during the testing.
  • Investigating and clearly communicating all issues to the development team.
  • Performing code reviews.
  • Participating in program design and process improvement meetings to provide input on functional requirements from process owners.
  • Monitoring program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.
  • Reviewing scripting code to answer questions from other staff members regarding functionality; troubleshooting and fixing script problems.
  • Testing documents and database commands to ensure they are generated in compliance with client standards, regulatory requirements, and usability needs.
  • Investigating and resolving internal and external data-related issues and isolating and removing root cause(s) of unwanted workflow behavior.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of AS Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret code written in a variety of programming and scripting languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira or a similar ticket system for project and issue tracking.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel (intermediate level use of functions and formulas), Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Collection Master Software is a plus.
  • Experience with document templates populated with external data sources, such as WordPerfect, is preferred.
  • Experience in debt collection and legal process preferred.
  • Good project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, proven problem-solving abilities, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to multitask and handle working under pressure and time sensitive deadlines.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening, credit check, and background check.
